Hip-hop sensation GloRilla has shattered records with her debut album Glorious, which has become the highest-selling rap album by a female artist this year. According to Billboard, the album sold an impressive 69,000 copies in its first week, securing the number five spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Glorious features popular tracks like “TGIF” and “Hollon,” marking GloRilla’s first time breaking into the Billboard 200 Top 10.

Other female hip-hop artists who released albums this year and their first-week sales include Megan Thee Stallion (64,000), Latto (29,000), Ice Spice (28,000), and Sexyy Red (27,000). Glorious includes collaborations with artists such as Latto, Sexyy Red, Muni Long, Kirk Franklin, Megan Thee Stallion, and more.

GloRilla revealed that the album was delayed due to preparations, but she credited her previous mixtape for helping her fans get ready for the arrival of Glorious.
